A Seasoned Trial Attorney Representing Injured Clients in Philadelphia and Beyond

Troy Crichton is a co-founder of Harden Crichton, P.C. and a seasoned trial attorney who represents injured individuals and families in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has represented injured clients since 2009.
Known for his tenacity and hands-on approach, Troy works closely with clients throughout every stage of the legal process, focused on building strong cases that can withstand scrutiny and position clients for meaningful recovery.
Education, Early Practice, and Trial Development
Troy attended Villanova University for undergraduate study and the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University before building his legal career in litigation and personal injury work. He also clerked for Judge Leon W. Tucker, a formative part of his professional development and a connection he shares with Kevin Harden.
After clerking in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Troy went to work at the Philadelphia Defender’s Association, where he developed a passion for justice and representing individuals in a system where the odds are stacked against them. At the Defender’s Association, Troy handled numerous Major Felony Jury Trials under the highest stakes imaginable… your liberty. After leaving this office, Troy continued to do what he had done so well: representing people.
Upon entering private practice, Troy chose to be a Plaintiff’s attorney and continue to fight for justice. He understands how cases are evaluated from multiple sides, how defense strategies are developed, and how effective advocacy requires both legal precision and practical judgment. Through his wealth of experience, Troy brings a valuable perspective to representing you.
Results-Driven Representation
Troy has secured significant settlements and verdicts for clients, including one of Pennsylvania’s 50 highest verdicts in 2018. He most recently secured a $16 million recovery for a devastating commercial trucking accident on I-476 in Carbon County, PA. He has also secured millions of dollars in slip and falls, car accidents, bicycle accidents, and other premises liability actions, including construction and negligent security accidents.
In 2021, Troy accomplished one of the rarest and most difficult feats under the law (an accomplishment he also shares with his co-founder, Kevin Harden, Jr., Esq.: reversing the conviction of a wrongfully incarcerated man. After 24 years of wrongful incarceration, Jehmar Gladden left prison a free man.
Troy’s record, experience, and millions recovered for clients have earned him industry recognition, various accolades, and selection to Super Lawyers. He approaches every case with a trial-forward mindset. While many cases resolve before trial, strong outcomes often depend on whether a lawyer is prepared to litigate aggressively when necessary. Troy brings that preparation to every matter he handles, with a focus on clear strategy, persuasive advocacy, and practical guidance for clients facing life-changing injuries or losses.
A Personal, Client-Centered Style
Troy emphasizes representing people with compassion. We know that you are going through an unspeakably difficult time in your life. It is our job to be your voice. When you come to Harden Crichton, P.C., it is so you can focus on family, recuperation, and healing. We will handle the rest.
Clients dealing with serious injuries, medical treatment, lost income, and uncertainty need more than technical legal advice. They need steady counsel, responsiveness, and confidence that their attorney is fully invested in the case's outcome. Meaningful client relationships are central to Troy’s practice, and this perspective shows in his work, lifestyle, and values.
Service and Community Involvement
Troy attended law school at Temple University and is a committed member of the Philadelphia community. In addition to practicing in Philadelphia Courts for over a decade, He is an active member of the Barrister’s Association of Philadelphia, the premier organization of Black Lawyers practicing in Philly. He is also on the Board of Uplift Solutions, a re-entry focus program for justice impacted individuals. He continues to give back and serve the community that has given him so much.
Co-Founding Harden Crichton
Kevin and Troy have known each other since Temple Law school. As their careers progressed, they were often two sides of the same coin: Kevin a Prosecutor; Troy a Defender, both always working with an eye towards justice. They founded Harden Crichton, P.C. after years of practicing at a high level and building substantial courtroom experience. Together, they launched the firm to create a practice centered on real people, strong advocacy, and meaningful client relationships.
At Harden Crichton, P.C., Troy continues to represent people and families in serious injury and wrongful death matters with the trial-ready, client-focused approach that has shaped his career from the start.
